Question Tune up / Clean up Software

Can someone recommend a tune-up software for Win7pro -10. Something that will clean up the registry , fix or troubleshoot basic issues ,
Maybe help with drive management by pointing out large chunks of data the can be deleted or purged to clear out some space. Almost like a space sniffer. A few years back i had a program that was freeware and after trying it on a few Throwaway drives so i knew it wasn't a virus or worse i tried it on a few workstation i was having issues with and it was able to solve them. Unfortunately i Don't believe the software was ever completed or made available commercially. But if any one has something they used and think works well please pass on any info .

Stay away from 'registry cleaners'. They do far more harm than good
Stay away from 'tune up' utilities. Likewise, no good can come from this
Stay away from 'driver boosters'.
Things that can be deleted? That is all up to you, not some software.
