you can't choose. intel chooses for you. for instance,
intel enables ht in core i3 cpus but no turbo.
in core i5 you get turbo but no ht.
in core i7 you get both.
in pentiums and celerons you get neither.
in mobile cpus, in pentiums and celerons you get no turbo nor ht. mobile core i3 is like dt core i3. mobile i5 have turbo and ht both, so do mobile core i7.

among these cpus, the best option is neither, when it comes to performance. the best option is to have more cores. more cores help with multithreaded tasks and if your cpu is overclockable, you can get more clockrate from o.c.

amd doesn't have hyperthreading in their current fx cpus and apus. they enable multithreading by adding more cores but save die area by sharing hardware between two cores.
amd has turbo. they call their tech turbo core. amd's implementation is different and if you want to know in depth, look into chip design, simulated multithreading, cluster multithreading, thread processing and execution, thermal design power etc.

i didn't ask that. i asked if you were comparing processors and which ones.
 
1 advantage u get from a amd card is gcn architecture and app acceleration that is at work in browsing the internet as well as adobe products and is being backed by the hsa foundation
a moderately priced r7 card even gives u the ability to have a 3D tv with its built in technology

neither turbo boost technology or hyper threaded makes no different to a office user or everyday use and entertainment when u dont plan on playing the latest games, heavy tasking...

in fact u may find u get the best price vs efficiency build with a intel cpu and amd gpu
 


I think that you mean Simultaneous Multithreading (AKA SMT), not simulated multithreading. Hyperthreading is Intel's particular implementation of SMT
