My cpu is the AMD athlon 750k. I have Turbo boost enabled in my bios and everything is set up right. when i run cpu intensive things such as minecraft, battlefield 4 and planetside 2, CPU-Z says that the clock is at 4 ghz but its not acting like. speedfan is showing im getting the same temps as i was when i was on stock 3.4 ghz. and im still getting just as bad as a cpu bottleneck with no added fps.

Solution

if you want better fps with those games just overclock it. Bump up the mhz and the slowly raise the voltage in increments until it is stable. That is where you will see the best pick up on performance.

also AMD does have turbo technology and the way it works is say youre playing a game and your cpu starts lagging behind so it will use the turbo and jump up a few mhz to keep up. OC is a lot more effective than this.
Oh. lmao im stupid. I just enabled it in the bios and then it told me the turbo boost for it is 4.0 so i guess ill go deactivate it now. I thought it was AMD as well since AMD cpus say (for example) Amd fx-8350, 4.0 (4.2 Turbo)

In what increments would you recommend me raising the mhz and volts. Right now the highest my temp has gotten in 54c in Bf4 after 4 hours.
