[citation][nom]icanhashardware[/nom]whatever happened to something like this for a few dollars? http://www.christmaslightsetc.com/ [...] tter_1.jpg[/citation]
That's what I carry. Always in my computer bag, that way I can always get someone to share an outlet.

That's pretty slick. It would also be useful for college students who pretty much face the same problem of not enough outlets in crowded classes.

You can get a power strip for like $0.99 with a surge protector. I don't know if I'd trust having 3 100W+ devices on one ungrounded cable like that. I guess it looks slick.. but I don't want to start a fire.

I'm not sure how it's different from a regular power strip. It simply eliminates the cord between the outlet and the adapter. You still have to unplug any device currently hogging the outlet.

Yeah, useless item. Just get a $1.00 power strip. There are some pretty slick ones out there that aren't too bulky. Belkin usually has good looking stuff.

Is the non-wall side Infinity style or Mickey Mouse? For a Lenovo it'd be Infinity. HP's would need Mickey Mouse. They might even want to make a PC style one to cover more bases.

Doesn't look like the plug is grounded (with a third pin).
Just because of safety issues alone I wouldn't let this touch my laptop.

For 21$ I would rather grab a new woods power value pack that has a small 3 outlet power strip with 2 usb ports for charging stuff as well. Plus there is all the other crap that comes with it(6 tap adapter and a 2 plug 3 prong extension card. I think it may have a 3 tap adapter like the one shown above as well)

"There's nothing worse than watching your battery slowly drain itself while you wait for someone, anyone, to leave so you can steal the outlet they're hogging"

I can't agree more...
