Turn Off Chassis Intrusion 'Check'

I have been getting this Chassis Intruded error and I need to find out how to disable the 'check' or what ever its called. I have a M5A97 R2.0 Motherboard, I threw away the pin caps so I dont know how to fix it at this point and I would prefer not to purchase a jumper can someone please tell me how to disable it?

There will be a setting in your BIOS, something like "Case Open" indicator. Disable it.

It's meant for corporate environments predominantly, to avoid unauthorized people opening up hardware

I have searched my bios and could not find it do you know where it would be located at in the bios?

Actually, looking into it a little more - since you've lost the pin cap (which should be there by default) disabling it in the BIOS likely won't help anyway. You'll need to replace the cap for the pins.

Honestly, I've no idea. I have a 'spare things' container that has a couple in it, but I can't remember what it came with to begin with (probably an old mobo).

Do you have a local computer repair shop? If so, I'd stop in & have a chat with the staff there. The'll almost certainly have some laying around, and shouldn't charge you much or at all for one.

:lol: Calvin's right..... if you want/need 100 of the things. Might be the only option though, as I'm not aware of them being sold singularly (as they're 'worth' <$0.25 each)

I was talking more about where you could probably acquire a single cap :lol:

these should work to correct? they just look better with the boards color scheme.

They should. Startech are a known brand of "hard to find" items..... I've never heard of CorpCo.

Of course, you *shouldn't* be able to mess up a jumper cap so you should be fine.
