Question Turn off Freesync on monitor if not supported by GPU?

HP M24fe monitor that supports Freesync and it's turned on by default. However, I'm using a AMD Radeon HD 6450 GPU, which doesn't support Freesync.

I'm not using my PC for gaming, but don't know if video streaming might be affected. Does it matter if I leave the setting on?

It doesn't, or at least shouldn't. The monitor doesn't send anything back to the GPU and the GPU will simply spit out frames at the refresh rate you wanted, so FreeSync won't really do anything.
