Question turn off lcd while running in background

I bought a netbook just to used as a BOTTING program i made

I want to turn off its LCD while running in background (moving mouse cursor, keyboard tapped)

I tried the close lid but the laptop will turn hot for a long run and its a bad idea to turn your monitor down while the surface of laptop is hot

Does anyone knows a software that can turn LCD off even while tapping or moving the mouse?

what brand and model is that laptop? most laptops have a function that turns the screen off without shutting down the computer. you just need to find the key shortcut on your laptop. for example, fn+F5 turns the display off on my laptop

you can configure the notebook to turn of the lcd on close and to continue running. I use mine like that because I use an external monitor. Now I don't have a fire breather notebook, it's an A6 based cheapo, so it really never gets warm.
