[SOLVED] Turn off router by turning off electric socket ?

I want to restart my router but since i already placed this router on my roof i cant reach the power. So i decide to just turning off electric socket by pressing on off button, because my router cable connected to this power source. Does it safe ? Also there is no power button in my router TP LINK TL WN840n but i just afraid this can cause damage.

You put an indoor only device on your roof? You really should get an outdoor rated device.

Why is this router placed externally?

With no surface mounted power buttons, it's supposed to be unplugged to power cycle - so that aspect is not going to do it any harm.
Being exposed to the elements however, is not going to be a good idea.
