Hello:
I am trying to disable/remove Windows Media Player in Windows 8.1.

I go to the "Programs and Features" page on click on "Turn Windows Features On and Off"
from the upper left. A new screen opens but it is completely empty. Nothing populates this screen.
I click on "Help" in the upper right of this screen and a new page opens that says, "We can not find the topic you are looking for."

I would appreciate it if someone can tell me how to make the "Turn Windows Features On and Off" screen to populate
so that I may disable Windows Media Player.

thank you all for your attention.

Solution
I never opened Windows Media Player once in years. I download VLC media player and put the files to be opened by VLC. You do not have to uninstall Windows Media Player.

Thank you for your response.
I was using Windows Media Player successfully for a long time.
However it seemed to become corrupted and was not burning good
CDs and even seemed to affect my trying to burn CDs using other programs, so
I needed to disable/remove it from my system.
I now use the PotPlayer program as my default media player and it works great
Thanks again.
