GPU: RTX 3060 12GB
RAM: 32GB DDR4
PSU: Corsair RM750x

I tried to disable hard acceleration on windows 11 because I wanted to free up some VRAM and figured it was unnecessary anyways. After rebooting and logging in, my screens began flickering, artficating and even crashing programs (Steam, Valley Benchmark etc). After reanabling it and rebooting, everythings fine. What could have caused this? If it was a bad GPU or CPU, wouldn't I be having issues while gaming and whatnot? Anyone else encounter this before?

I should mention I'm running an older driver (566.36) because I was having the common black screen issue plaguing NVIDIA drivers, and many recommended switching to that one. Been months since and this is the first time I've ever had any problems like this.

That´s normal. Some apps can work without it but nowadays most don´t

Try updating BIOS and GPU drivers, if still black screens appear, switch back to version 566.36
Looks like it was indeed the GPU driver. After updating, system is stable with acceleration off!

Hey btw, I just realized you're the same person that helped me with my PSU arcing issue a few weeks ago. Just wanted to say sorry if I bothered you with questions, I wast just under a lot of stress lol. Thank you :)
