ok i have been online trying to get this turned off. it keeps popping up. my laptop IS at the optimal resolution. i have called into settings.. notifications.. but i dont find anything that says resolution or anything close.. i have gone also into display... advanced display.. display adapter properties..and verified "hide modes that this monitor cannot display" is unchecked.. i give up.. i am just tired seeing this pop up all the time.. any more ideas??

I found this via Google searching "windows 11 turn off optimized resolution notice"

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...d-notice/c1a88b4b-9b45-47c8-a5cf-486d2062f90e

Take a look and see if the above link is 1) applicable, and 2) works.

There were other links as well.

Just do not be tempted into downloading any "fixes" or Registry editing.

If nothing works:

Windows 11 - which Edition?

Right click an empty area of the desktop.

A menu window should open with the choice "Show more options".

Click that.

The next window should include the GPU's control panel. Click to open.

Check the settings therein.

Failing that then take a couple of screenshots showing the pop-up.

Post the screenshots here via imgur (www.imgur.com).

well that first link was one of the ones i looked at.. when i right clicked on my desktop.. there was NO "graphics" option.. i went back and started looking under display and other stuff and FINALLY managed to find something that disabled that notification. but wow. it was by pure accident i found it. so in a round about way you helped.. just not that link LOL. thanks. i honeslty dont think i can find out how i got to where the option was at.. it was buried deep in something LOL

Persistance can pay off. :)

Does not surprise me that the documentation, to be generous, was less than "exact".

No point in ranting, rationalizing, or otherwise going down the rabbit holes involved.

At least, we know that the notification can be turned off. Hopefully to stay off.....

Thanks for the update.
