Turning socket off whilst PC is sleeping

Basically I was away and I left my computer on on sleep mode whilst I was doing something and my brother who didn't know it was sleeping thought it was on because of lights and he turned it on he then tried to turn it off but because it was loading that didn't work so he just turned the socket off from the button switch. Is this major? Will there be any damage? Or is it all okay will it cause coil whine or bad performance? Please help guys I'm really worried this is a high end x99 system.

nope, it's the same as if you had a power out. windows may complain on the next first load but should be ok.
