Turtle Beach PX22 Mic is Broken

Hey guys this is going to be hard to explain, but basically my problem is that my microphone on my PX22's is sort of broken. I can still use it, but when I record the audio or test the audio on Skype, it comes out all staticy, and isn't clear. Any ideas on how to fix this please I'm desperate!

is it plugged in properly? If it is you could try gently blowing on it to see if its full of dust, if that doesn't work its probably busted.

If it is busted is there any way to fix it or something without returning it to the store or buying another?
