UPDATE 3 (FINAL)
Okay, I have found my answer on this problem.
After many hours of researching I have found out that bluetooth headsets (with intentions of using the mic) should not be used for PC/Laptops.
For some reason phones, tablets, gaming consoles utilize the bluetooth capabilities way better than the PC. So I'm an idiot for not realizing this sooner.
So this Turtle Beach Px51 is not working well with my laptop because it wasn't made for it. It works great with other devices but because it runs on bluetooth limits its performance on the PC/Laptop.
UPDATE 2
Ok, so according to this in the manual of the headset:
Your computer will need a properly installed Bluetooth interface, typically in the form of a USB Bluetooth adapter. You will need an adapter that is Bluetooth 2.1 compliant and has EDR (Enhanced Data Rate).
Looks like I need a bluetooth adapter, I assumed that this meant my hardware already in my laptop, but nope.. So my problem will probably be solved if I buy one.
I will update accordingly
UPDATE: https://imgur.com/NTqek0y This is a screen shot of the Bluetooth Device Operations and Settings.
So I've been using the Telephony option (you can only pick one of the two) because it allows me to have sound coming to my headset from my laptop and allows me to speak through my mic.
But the quality is really low. However if I enable 'Listen to Music' (while having to disable telephony), the music/sound quality is really great, but the mic doesn't work/isn't detected on the laptop.
So this might be a software problem? Like I have to find the correct bluetooth hardware to utilize the headset.
I will research more on the bluetooth software, any ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks
ORIGINAL POST:
I've received a brand new turtle beach px51 headset and the quality of the sound and mic is really really bad with my laptop through bluetooth connnection. I've tried it with my phone and the quality is great.
So I'm thinking it has something to do with my laptop's bluetooth card/hardware, but I've searched and no one really has that problem.
My laptop is ~3 years old, a Clevo/Sager/Malibal P150HMx. Here's everything I can find about my bluetooth adapter/device/hardware:
Program: Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless Software for Bluetooth (R) Technology, Version 1.0.0.0454
Hardware: Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R) 3.0 + High Speed Adapter
Under network adapters in Device Manager I have:
Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) #2
Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI) #2
Any ideas? and thanks for reading.
