Turtlebeach PX21's not working!

I have had my PX21s for almost a year, and when I took them out of the closet to start using them again, they do not work, sound does not play through, and the mic has no output at all. I see a little tear in the wire from the control board to the headset, and I think this is it. Please help I need this headset!!!!

My P11's did the same thing, the cable only worked a certain way in that same spot, then it stopped, once that happens its an internal wiring issue in that mixamp and it cant be fixed. I opened it up as well as the cable and saw its not possible to re wire it. Turtle beaches arent known for their reliability, they are alright entry level, but I would recommend spending some money on a good headset for gaming, as you have to replace that.
