Tv and headphones

Having trouble connecting Bose qc35 headphones with Panasonic viera tv. The Panasonic tv is connected to Bose sound system using optical cable. The headphones connects to the tv via Bluetooth receiver plugged into tv via sound jacks. No sound of TV on the headphones. Any help would be appreciated.

In the tv menu, turn the sound digital output/optical off and put it back to speakers.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it did not work. The Bluetooth transmitter is connected via sound jackets, and does connect to Bose headsets. I can fear fuzz.. But no content. My cable box is connected to TV. Is that interfering?
