TV headphone jack not working

tried jiggling the headphone connector inside and it either makes sound on one side of the headphones or the other. any way i can fix or replace this?

Troubleshooting:

1) Try a different set of headphones with the TV.

2) Try the same headphones in a different TV.

It sounds like the headphones aren't being pushed in far enough, but perhaps the above steps will help figure out the problem.

If two different headphones have the same issue your TV jack is either defective or there is something inside blocking the headphone jack.

If the same headphones have problems with two different TV's or devices then the jack may be bent.

I appreciate your response. I took of the back casing of the tv to reveal the jack and even inserting multiple headphones into the jack completely, it doesn't seem to work. I'm assuming its defective :/. Any way I can replace it?

I don't know how easy it would be to replace.
You need to find a compatible part, it may need to come from the TV manufacturer, and replacing may involve soldering.

I can't really help further.
