TV keeps being set as Monitor 1 rathar than monitor 2.

Hey there guys n gals.

Bit of a pain in the backside.

Whenever I have my samsung tv or bluray plugged in via HDMI/displayport the Samsung device will be set as monitor one. To which everything (desktop) gets moved over to the TV.. even if I haven't got either of them turned on. Even though my computer monitor is set as (make this my main display). It still boots up as if the TV is the main display.

Quite an annoyance, as the only way I can sort it out is by unplugging the HDMI lead before rebooting but who wants to do that everytime they turn on their PC.

I hear that there's some issue with microsoft's drivers but they seem to have just shrugged it off as just one of those things that they cannot be bothered fixing.

I am wondering if anyone has come across this and found a solution.

I'm running windows 7, GTX770 all the latest drivers and so forth. I just recieved my Displayport to HDMI converter today hoping that it would fix it but nope. No joy on that front.

I wouldn't mind if I didn't listen to music via my bluray or didn't prefer watching films on the 51inch.

Any ideas?

Well I managed to fix it....All I did was swap out the gtx 770 for a R9 290 and bam it's all good. Seems that it's nvidias drivers that aren't up to scratch.
