Can anyone help me, we just upgraded to the arris frontier wireless modem, everything worked fine for the first day then it started dropping the internet.. lately we’ve noticed that if we don’t have our TV on our internet works fine, no issues at all - turn the tv on and within 2 minutes the internet kicks off.

My first thought is that you have an IP address conflict within your network.

How many network devices do you have and are you familar with the IP addressing within your network?

What make and model Arris do you have and if you have a separate router: what make and model?

IP address conflicts can occur if a static address as been assigned to some device. Then the router (or modem/router) assigns the same IP address to another device. Which will be fine until the original device (e.g., cellphone, laptop) comes back, gets turned on, and tries to join the network.

Are you able to access the router's admin functions as an administrator. There is likely a listing of all connected devices and the IP address being used by or assigned to any given device.

Check the TV's configuration screens and look for the IP address.

There could be othere conflicts. Perhaps the TV's default IP address is the same as your router....
