tv out encoder format problem

I have a nvidia64 tvout card, in the display tvout settings there is no format options available it is greyed out!!!(I need the PAL one I am in the UK)

Everytime it reboots it comes up with 'this graphics resolution is not compatable with this application', I tried bringing the res right down but still no joy.
I have installed the chrontel tvout software that came with the card yet there is very little help in the readme there is no obvious way to remove it and reload it either.

I am pretty sure its this encoder software thats got its knickers in a twist but this is where my knowledge on the subject ends!! please can anyone shed some light on this annoying problem

I have this same problem with the greyed-out areas and am unable to change to TV out. Did you find a solution? I don't have much background in working with PC's, so please keep responses simple.
