I recently built a bew home PC, counting on the internal gpu (it's an asrock z97 anniversary with a pentium g3258, 8gb of RAM and a non-genuine Win 7 HDD I got from an old laptop) as the main graphics processor...however, when I tried connecting it to the TV, which is the main purpose of the PC, the TV said that the signal is not supported (not that there's no signal)...it doesn't give me the asrock logo, it just straight goes from "No Signal" to "Not supported"...I tried connecting an old GPU, which is giving me the stripes-on-screen problem, because unlike the mobo, it has a vga port and honestly I've had resolution problems with the tv using hdmi...it worked- there were stripes, the OS gave me a BSoD, but it worked in Safe Mode- I tried changing the resolution to 1280x1024, then turning the pc off, removing the GPU, connecting the pc to HDMI and turning it on, but I was given the same results- "Not supported"...so, how can I get the PC to work with the iGPU/HDMI? The TV is a 32-inch, 9-10-year-old Samsung LCD HD Ready TV...would a different resolution change things? I don't see how, since the vga connection didn't change anything...
