Question TV speakers sizzle out

Hey,

My TV speakers work for about 20-30 min and then start slowly crackling and eventually just "sizzle out" after 5min or so.

Plugging in speakers in the headphone jack works fine and no problems occur. Its just with the TV speakers.

Anyone know what could be going on?

Could it be overheating? how could that affect the speakers

This sounds like what is commonly known as a dry joint its when the solder has failed. What is probably happening now is that the wire is just resting on the board and when the board gets warm a component is drifting from the solder joint. If it is an old tv ( not flat screen ) make sure you do not touch the circuit board that sits on the back of the tube , it can store enough juice to kill you. Modern tv's contain a lot of both high and low voltages , components known as capacitor's store electricity for a long time so even if the set is off it could still bite you. As you know what the problem is , any decent repair shop should do the repair without ripping you off

Its not worth sending to a repair shop since here in Finland, repairs will run more than a new tv most likely. I got it free and was hoping I could maybe fix it myself.

Is there any way I can discharge these capcitor safely or otherwise work safely?

Im guessing the problem is not in these connectors that connect left and right speaker to the board. If it was one of them, then jsut one speaker would go out.

No clue though where these get routed through next

Also, which parts of this board is potentially charged and dangerous?

Is there somewhere where I can find manuals for the logic boards? I could try and figure it out
