I'm looking at building a PVR/HTPC for the first time using an Intel E5200 processor, Zotac 9300 mini ITX mobo, and Apex MI-008 case with Mythbuntu for the OS, but I'm perplexed by TV tuning cards. I'd like to record OTA broadcasts and possibly some cable channels.
Are there any tuner solutions for recording encrypted cable channels?
Are there any tuners that record in 1080p?
Given my size constraints, a PCI card is less manageable than an external solution. I was looking at something like the HDHomerun. Any other suggestions for what I should look at?
