Can anyone recommend a good TV Tuner Card for use in/with my Dell Inspiron
8600 and iuVCR so that I can record programs on my Hard Drive? Thanks!

I have the Hauppauge TV PVR USB2 and it is great. I use Snapstream
(www.snapstream.com) as my PVR.

Tom, what is the advantage of Snapstream over MCE 2005.

Well, I don't have MCE2005, so I honestly can't say. Here are some things I
like:

1) Runs on XP Pro, so I can still join a domain
2) Guide feature is incredible (and free).
3) Easily drives a cable box through a USB-UIRT
4) Supports many remotes (including the Firefly, which I have)
5) Supports Beyond TV Link, which let's me watch, program, etc., from any
machine on my network
6) Created MPG files compatible with my MediaMVP (also by Hauppauge) network
'player'
7) Supports up to 9 tuners in one box

OK, there's lots more, but it really is cool.

You've convinced me to avoid Window Media Edition and
go with Beyond TV!!

That's for sure

I've been wanting to pick up the Hauppauge myself, I have heard nothing
but good things about it. I hear it works great with MythTV in Linux.

Personally I think MCE is like everything else Microsoft. A decent effort,
but not best of breed, at least early in its development. Eventually
perhaps, like Office, but not now.
