My TV(I dual-monitor a monitor and a tv but monitor does not have this issue) if I turn it on after my computer it will just show "No signal detected" but If i turn it on before my computer it boots up like normal. Anyone know why this would happen with my TV but not my monitor. The only difference I can see is that the TV is hooked up via HDMI and Monitor via VGA.

Anything hooked up via hdmi is technically considered a periphreal because not only does it transmit video it transmits audio over it too. So when you turn your computer on first, it will auto-select the audio adapter that it recognizes first. So when you turn your hdtv on afterwards, your pc will not auto-select the new "device" it found, you have to force it to go over there. You can either do this by choosing the display/audio devices, logging in and out, and/or rebooting.

Yes i understand that its an easy thing to turn on your monitor before the Computer. but i shouldnt have to. the computer should work the way it was made
