Hi all!!

Can someone help me identify TVS DIODE to change for the same or alternative one. Thanks in advance.

SEAGATE BARRACUDA (COMPUTE ) color GREEN
ST4000DM004
SN:WFN3TAR9
PN:2CV104-300
FW:0001
WWN:5000C500CFA6159F

diode has mark:
AE
9J6 5 or S I or L

I didn't find anything on the internet.

"AE" is a 5V TVS diode. You could substitute it with an SMAJ5.0A.

That said, a drive will work without this diode, albeit without overvoltage protection.

You need to check the adjacent zero-ohm resistors. If they are open circuit, you will need to flow a blob of solder over them, or replace them with a single 2A smt fuse.

Hello, thank you very much for your answer.

I have bought a similar motherboard, I have changed the BIOS.

my pc still doesn't recognize it. Tomorrow I will look inside the BIOS PC if I can detect HDD.

Any ideas ?

Was the diode shorted? Fuse open?
Yes, before I tried to change the TVS diode to 5, but it didn't work. and I have chosen to buy a new motherboard online. I have changed the BIOS. Now I am going to try if the PC BIOS recognizes me.

NOTE, I don't know how to check the subtraction of elements, I'm not a professional (just a hobby).

Question:

If the diode is dead on the HDD why the need for a new motherboard?

Is there reason to believe that the motherboard was damaged along with or by the diode failure?

Do you have some other known working HDD that can be tested with the motherboard?

I may be missing something but buying a new motherboard just seems a bit premature.....

What am I missing here?
