Download latest XP drivers for the 1200 from Epsons site. Unzip the contents of the package into a folder. Go into the folder and access PROPERTIES for the Setup.exe program. Under the COMPATIBILITY page check XP SP2. Run Setup.exe and the drivers will now install with no problem (ignore Vista warning mesages). Plug in the scanner and it "should" function.
