Recently, I bought a T9550 CPU, thinking that it can be supported by my Dell Inspiron 1420.Turns out it isn't, eventhough almost all the spec is the same.
The differences is the BIOS and motherboard(but the socket support it) not supporting it.
Here is my computer spec currently:
OS: Windows 10 Professional
Motherboard: GM965
CPU: T5250
BIOS: Phoenix ROM BIOS Plus Version 1.10 A10 (the latest one for Dell Inspiron 1420)
RAM: 2GB DDR2 800FSB x2
I guess the solution is to tweak the BIOS into downclocking the T9550 to 800FSB as it is the only indifferences of it with the motherboard to make it support. Please help me if you know how. Thanks!

Solution here:Intel T9550 for Dell Inspiron 1420 (bios-mods.com)
anyone considering to do such a mod will need to cut off the cable of a plug(for my case a three pin plug)
,take out the three wires(picture),get three copper wire(or possibly more but I didn't try it,10 is too thick I tried before) out of them(the golden colour one like shown in the picture) .Now,twist and turn to make the three wires to become one wire.I tried using just one copper wire and it burnt after a few hours but luckily it didn't make the processor socket melt or something :/
