Twin graphic cards on a Asrock H55M-LE

I've been wondering if i can add 2 different GPU's (both AMD) and connect them in 2 different PCIe slots.
- 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot (at x16 mode)
- 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 slot (2.5GT/s)
Will this stuff work or not?

Yes, i have a 1000Watts PSU. It should be fine.
But the graphs are AMD 6750 and 5790 . I can make them work without Crossfire?
I mean just plug them in the slots, install drivers and off i go.
