So I just got this new computer a couple of weeks ago and I have been watching some twitch streams (Lirik, soda etc...). The streams are kinda fine but every 5 sec the streams kinda seem stuttery/choppy like they are not 60 fps. Everyone else experiences the gameplay smoothly but I see the gameplay as I described above and it is really annoying and not smooth at all (it doesn't matter if I have HTML5 enabled or disabled).

Also every game that I play doesn't run smoothly as well. I experience these constant stutters and choppiness that is really annoying. The gameplay is stuttery and not smooth like it should've been. I get this issue even in really old games like Runescape and Call of duty 2 etc... I always have FRAPS running and it reports that ALL of the games I've played and mentioned so far run with 70+ and even with 100+ FPS but I still somehow get this issue where the gameplay appears jittery/stuttery and not smooth at all.

If anyone maybe knows what is going on or what is wrong with my computer I would really appreciate if you could help me out 😀

SPECS:

• Asus GTX 970 STRIX 4GB OC Edition
• Intel i5 4690k quad core 3.5 ghz
• 1 stick of 8 GB Hyperx Fury RAM
• MSI Z97 Gaming 5 MOBO
• 1 TB WD HDD
• Corsair CX600 PSU

Solution
The streams could be your internet.
Try setting an FPS limit to some arbitrary number like 30 and play, see what happens then. If you can limit it on the streaming your watching try it there too.

Well the V-Sync does make the issue a little bit better in games but does nothing on streams. CPU usage really depends on the game that I'm playing but on the twitch streams the CPU is between 25-34%.

Already did a bunch of malware and virus scannning, I even re-installed windows 7 but nothing so far 🙁

Thanks for the fast response and for the help ! 😀

I can easily watch streams at source with no lag or stream pausing but somehow the gameplay is stuttery and choppy even on 480p.

I set the FPS to 30 and basically and the stutters are not that noticable anymore.
