[SOLVED] two backplate for LGA 1151 socket, which one should I use?

Hi,

I ordered an evga clc cooler and looking to the manual I can see two backplates for the 1151 socket.
One of them is noted with "retention ring "and the other isn't.

I'm wondering, which one should I use for a intel 10th generation cpu? (LGA 1200 which is the same as 1151)

The second "backplate" is the real backplate that will go behind your motherboard, the other is a retention ring which will go around the pump on the AIO and screw down through the motherboard into the backplate to hold the cooler in place.
So youll be using both, as seen in step 3.
