I have an Athlon XP 2500+ @ 1.99Ghz with an Asus A7V8X motherboard.
I installed MotherBoard Monitor and selected my motherboard in the Wizard that popped up during installation.
Rebooted windows xp and 3 temp icons appeared in the tray area. One is a "CPU Socket" temp, another one is the "CPU Diode" Temp, and the last one is the "Case" temp.
My problem is, which CPU temperature is the correct one??? At idle, the "CPU Diode" is at 45C and the "CPU Socket" temp is at 52C.
Which one should I be concerned about??? If 52C is the real idle temp then that worries me.
