Question Two different ram brands in dual channel

I have adata gammix d10 3000Mhz 16-20-20-38 installed. I am getting Kingston ddr4 cl15 3000Mhz for cheaper price ( second hand). Should I pair those two or buy another Adata gammix d10.

If they work together at 3000mhz, you will probably have to run both kits at the looser timings of the adata kit either through XMP or manually setting the values. You are probably going to get flooded with comments about not mixing kits and my answer to them is you never know until you try it. That being said though, you will have a better chance of everything working if you get as close to the original module or kit that you already have.

The closer you match the two kits the better, but even identical kits, bought on the same day, run a chance of not working together.
It generally works most of the time, moreso with some tweaking, but overall buying a single kit is preferable.
