If i two ram sticks, one 4gb at 1600mhz. and the other stick is 8gb at 1600mhz. Combine those two to make 12gb, will there be any performance issue? + one stick is smaller than the other in size.

Solution
No there shouldn't be any issue with performance. What do you mean they're ones smaller in size? Like physically smaller?
------- ------------? <---Like that lol just make sure they're the same type of ram (ddr2 or ddr3)

No sorry, i meant both of the sticks are physically smaller. and two different sticks have 4gb and 8gb

Woops i accidently clicked the solution button to your answer. Yes physically smaller. I installed both sticks in, and they borh run fine. In width they are the same. But in height they are different

If you dont want that as the solution there is an unselect button right where the select button was, or we can do it for you.
As for the questions, mixing ram kits is never 100%. Most of the time, it will work fine if they are the same speed. Sometimes two brand new identical kits, purchased separate, may not work together.
Its worth a shot.
