Hi there,

I did a bit of research but couldn't find the exact answer. Today I found a deal on some new Kingston hyper fury x 1866 mhz 2x8gb Ram that I stuck in my computer. My question is I had a 2x4gb Patriot 3 Viper 1866 mhz ram before and I was wondering if there was any way to make them compatible. The bios only detects the Kingston's and they are in the first channel and the Patriots are in the second. Motherboard is a Asus 970 PRO Gaming/Aura. The timing on the Kingston is 10-11-10 at 1.5 Volts and the Patriot is 10-11-10-30 at 1.5 volts also. If you need more info here are the specific links:

Solution
Should be alternating the ram, slot 1 Kingston, slot 2 Patriot etc. This takes advantage of dual channel on both sets.
It's entirely possible that the ram just won't play well, if at all.
Kingston hyper X is plug n play, don't need xms settings, the Patriot is 1600 default with xms1 at 1866, so you'll probably need to manually set ram speed to 1866 instead of using auto settings.
Running all 4 sticks, you might need to adjust the voltage for the memory controller, I'd suggest a 0.005v bump, or 1.505v maybe even 1.51v, not 1.6v or higher.
Hello... 1) Typically you could do a battery removal and CMOS Clear/reset, to let the BIO's try to autoset communication settings with them.

2) OR I would try to raise the voltage to the RAM sticks in the MB BIO's (save&exit)... look to see what the voltage is running now... try up to 1.60-1.65v? at first B /
