I have a windows 10 pc and I installed a new SSD that is identical to the one that ive been using. They're two 500 gb SSDs that have the same display names.

I can see the drives in the BIOS and Device Manager but I cant see both un the Disk Manager. When looking at the properties of Disk 1 i can see both drives in the hardware tab.

Ive tried changing the SATA location on both drives and uninstalling each drive undividually, none of those have worked.

Ive been looking for the better part of 4hrs and i cant find a solution, how can I access my 2nd drive?

Hard to tell if this is a Windows bug or some hardware limitation.

What motherboard you have and if relevant - what sata controller ?

Have you checked that you use latest bios version ?
I have a TUF GAMING X570-PLUS and im not using the latest bios version

I have BIOS ver. 3603 latest ver. Is 4403

Dont know what I did but the problem resolved itself.

I think its because I, for some reason, had a storage space for my single ssd from before installing the new one. But both drives still appear in the properties, its just both of the drives properties now
