Two exactly same GPUs in SLI runs at different speed

Hi guys!

I have two MSI 1080Ti Gaming X graphics cards in SLI but every time when i check the status using afterburner, one card is running at 84C and the other is at 42C. Why wounldn't they have the same performance?? How can I make them evenly share the tasks?? Thank you in advance!

Well temperature is not an indication of performance.
That being said, there are two possibilities.
Either one card isnt being used (you need to check usages and get back to us, and then confirm the game supports SLI)
Or
One card has much worse airflow than the other.

Is it the top or bottom card thats hot?

I'd say only one card is being used.

Gam3r01 thank you for your reply! Well I am sure that both of them are being used. One is at 100% and the other only has around 30% usage. And it's always the one at the top gets hot, and it is also the one that's connected to the monitor.

From what Ive heard PUBG does not get along well with SLI anymore.

Well the games runs fine. I forget what exactly the clock speed is on each card. It's just seeing one card getting really hot while the other doesn't even have it's fan spinning drives me crazy. But if this is because of the game itself, I really couldn't do anything about it, could I? XD
