What are the chances of two power supplies being faulty in a row? first one was DOA and the second one now turns off while gaming. Doesn't completely turn off, lights are all still on just looks like a restart after 8 months of it working fine.

Cooler Master MWE 750W Gold Fully Modular Power Supply

build is

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8 Core Socket AM4 3.6GHz CPU
Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE WIFI AM4 ATX Motherboard
Samsung 860 Evo 1TB 2.5" SATA III 6GB/s V-NAND SSD MZ-76E1T0BW
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR4 2666MHz Memory Black
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super

It's not overheating also, temp is in the normal range when it shuts down

From the symptom you described, it could be the motherboard or any other component as well.
I swapped out the power supply and it's working fine now, could some other component have damaged my power supply over time? Want to prevent it happening again. I don't use a surge protector or anything.

Maybe your electricity? But I find it unlikely to be your electricity if other electronics like tvs/monitors in your living space haven't shown any damage.
