two games on the same computer at the same time?

Basically what im asking is it possible for you to have say 2 monitor's and 2 keyboards and mice hooked up to one pc and say you have a friend over and want to play the same game but dont have 2 computers but have all this. lets use Elder scrolls online as an example, say im playing on one monitor and my friend is on the other monitor but were both playing the same game with 2 different instances of the game open? im kinda new to computer stuff so this just popped up in my head one day while talking to a friend. If guys answer yes could you explain how you would go about the process? or link a tut? anyway thanks for reading all this!

use lan connectivity but in lan u want 2 pc to connect to each other via lan but i dont think there is any possiblity to use a pc to play 2 games at a time also it will slow uer pc much down if u managed to do that both of u will might be unable to play

Yeah, there's no real way to do this, AFAIK. Mice and keyboards have specific IRQ's, and they can't really share them. So even if you had the hardware to run two instances of a game in windowed mode on two monitors, you could only control one at a time.

If the game accepts it, though, you can maybe use two controllers? It depends on what you're trying to play, but emulators accept multiple controllers for games coded for it, like playing old console games.
