Two Graphics Cards for Different Functions

I need to use SolidWorks which wants a non-gaming card. I have a FirePro that is fully compatible on hand. I also like gaming and have a Radeon installed. Can I plug in the FirePro and get things to work properly; SolidWorks using the FirePro and games using the Radeon, or do I need to stop playing impressive games until I have finished the work I need to do in SolidWorks?

I found a tutorial on youtube, it even used almost identical cards, and the tricks are:
Ensure the drivers are installed into different folders
Set a monitor plugged into the FirePro as the main display when it is the desired card and Set a monitor plugged into the Radeon when it is the desired card.
