Two independent monitors - AMD Radeon HD 7500 series card

Can I connect two independent monitors to my DELL XPS Desktop with its AMD Radeon HD 7500 series card?

Your card is equipped with both a standard 15-pin VGA connector and a DVI-I connector for digital flat-panel displays, and there is a DVI-to-VGA adapter for hooking up two VGA monitors simultaneously. Also, an S-Video-out port and cable let you connect the Radeon to a television so that you can use it as a monitor.

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize that I had the VGA connector on the back panel until I went to the manual, and then I had to remove a protective plastic cover. I connected up the second monitor to this connector, rebooted, and then went to control panel-->display and tried to detect the 2nd monitor. It couldn't be detected. Any suggestions on what I should try next?

Well that will depend on how you are connected to the monitors.
If a monitor is not being recognized then its a connection or incorrect cable or adapter.
Your card is certainly capable of it and assuming the monitor is functional.?
Check in Bios that you are configured correctly. I can only assume it is as one monitor is working.
Try to swap cables in case there is a problem with a cable or its connector plugs.

What cable ports do your monitors have.?
