Two ISPs through one phone line.

(Would one phone line be able to support two ISPs? The rest of my family is using an AT&T line and I'm less than amused with it's performance for 4+ people. I have an unused phone jack available but I'm concerned about ordering the installation package only to find that I need a new phone line. Please help.)

EDIT: After some research, I've discovered this is not possible. Are there any alternatives that aren't wireless?

You have several alternative: Clear wireless, cable modem, satellite Internet, and another DSL provider.

Perhaps they have a higher tier plan and perhaps you need to look at the usage of other users and consdier implementing QoS in your router.

I've been searching for internet-only cable plans since it doesn't require a phone line.

Is QoS anything like traffic shaping? I have a WPN824v2 router by the way.

Yes, quality of service is similar to traffic shaping applied to specific file types and users/IP addresses/ports.
