Question Two LPT-1 ports showing in Win7Pro pc: neither works!

Hi!

I have two LPT-1 ports showing under Device Manager of my Win7Pro pc.

Any printer I plug into the (motherboard's) LPT-1 port does not work.

Whats going on?

What to do?

Update your post to include fully system hardware specs.

What printer card is installed in a PCIe slot?

Did you download the applicable Windows 7 printer drivers via the manufacturer's websites?

Any error messages or pop-up windows when test pages fail to print?

What cable are you using to connect between pc and printer? PC end being a parallel plug - what about the printer port(s)?

The highlighted item says this is a PCI card port, and you say this in on your Mobo?

I really think you made some hardware changes since this Windows was installed.
