Hi community,
I have two graphics card mounted in my PC. I have an AMD Radeon HD 5870 and a Nvidia GTX 460. The graphics don´t have SLI or Crossfire because there aren´t compatible.
I want to use two monitors, one connected to my AMD card and the other one connected to the Nvidia.
Have been loooking for some info at the web but I hadan´t found anything about that.

Thanks for your time

Something that may work is using both display adapters and connecting them to the separate monitors, but other than that you might need to get some help! Go to someone who knows what they are doing because you might need to effectively get another computer to put the other card in.

Im using the both display adapters and connecting them to the separate monitors (one hdmi at ATI to one monitor, and the other hdmi at Nvidia to the second monitor).
But the problem is that the PC recognizes the two graphics cards but only 1 monitor, which is connected to the ATI´s card.
Both monitors are the same model, new and run perfectly, but I can´t use both cause the one connected to Nvidia card isn´t detected.

What can I do?

Thanks for your help :)

This is a hard question haha, if you've connected both monitors have you got the drivers etc.? there are splitters to get three monitors working with sli crossfire etc. You could look into those and see whether they work for you. Other than that I have no idea! Two different gpus usually don't work in unison. But you know, it may work. Sorry for the indirect answer but I have no other possible solution for you. 🙁 :)

I wanted one for running the whole system and the other to run some specific programs that demands more GPU power, and with that method I can still using my system normally but I´ll have more power to that programs at the same time.

I ended using one graphics for all, and the other only for rendering. For example, Adobe Premiere let´s you pick render engine, and you can pick the GPU that you want.

Thanks everybody!
