It seems like we're on the cusp of another card update. In about two months, what can the consumer expect from nVidia? I've heard a lot about the 9800GX2, but will that be a flop like the 7950GX2? What's gonna be at the top of the pile in 60 days?

Indeed. I have an X38 board, and ATI is certainly pushing some enticing stuff these days, but I need to stick with nVidia because I have the EVGA stepup thing. I bought a 512 GTS about three weeks ago only as a stopgap to 9800 something or other. Just wondering what I can expect around the end of march/very beginning of April.

I think three 9800GTX's in tripple SLI will dominate two 9800GX2's, but the price difference between the two will be big! If you go tripple SLI then your going to need a 1200W PSU with six PCI-E connectors and one big PC case. However most will go for the cheaper route, getting two 9800GX2's seems more reasonable. With the latter only needing two PCI-E slots and at least 600-800W PSU for powering these beasts.
