Two Possibly Trivial Questions Re: Changing Motherboards

I have replaced my motherboard (ASUS Maximus VIII Extreme) in my ATX full tower case (Lian Li PC-P80). Two questions more experienced builders might have insight into are:

1. The case uses a 2-wire reset button and the MB has a 3-pin reset connector. The MB user guide illustrates a 3-wire connector coming from the front panel reset button. Any ideas how to reconcile this?

2. The case front panel has a Firewire 400 port and cable to the MB; the MB provides a Thunderbolt port. Is there an adapter that might bridge this conflict suitably?

Thank you for any suggestions. John Hixson

Yes I had to look it up first because I never had that MB so I thought that they maybe invented something new (or hot water) and secondly, Reset button always connects ground and reset pin. It's just an N/O temporary switch.
Some cases have a combined Start-Reset buttons and have 3pin arrangement. The 3v pin on that MB is usually not connected but is there just so combined plug would fit only one way.

Thank you, Count, for taking the trouble to answer. I'm thinking that as you used exactly the same designation as the MB manual for the pin, RSTCON#, you must have looked this up. I appreciate your diligence let alone you knowledge. John Hixson
