Okay, so I've been researching building my own PC since April, and I've often bounced between AMD and Intel, Nvidia and AMD, and so forth. Just when I finally thought I had settled for Intel and Nvidia, I start hearing about how great the FX and Radeons are. I have already bought a few parts, however most of the (except a $15 CPU cooler) have been brand neutral, i.e. the parts could work with either Intel OR AMD rigs.
So today I decided to try throwing together an AMD build that's still within my $900 - $1000 on PCPartpicker and the rig I got was pretty damn good. But now I'm stuck, I can't decided which rig I should go about investing in. I won't have the funds until December or January at the latest, but I'd really like to have a final part list to focus on so I can monitor part prices and quality. Either rig will be used for gaming, video editing, photo editing, and school work. I really want to get the best bang for my buck and am fully willing to mix and match parts from each rig, I just really need help choosing which to go with.
