1) What are the different versions of Windows 98 and what is the difference between them?

2) How much could I buy Windows 98 (not just upgrade) for?

98se is upgraded fixed sum bugs and patched some holes to make it more secure and stable . their are 2 versions 98 and 98se. I think the MSR for 98 full is 189 but im sure you can find it cheaper. why buy it though when you dont need it .Just buy the upgrade and use dos disk to verify your previous version of microsoft products.

Doesn't the Windows 98 upgrade only update Windows 95? I think the only copy of Windows 95 I have is a special install made specific to another computer I have.

I use my windows 3.1 disks for my win98 upgrade so you should be able to also. Mind you it asks for like 5 of the six disks to verify it now days.
