I've seen people being accused of using an "aim bot" is there really such a
thing?

I think the Fuel Rod Gun has no place in the multiplayer game, anyone else
agree?

I actually find that the fuel gun is easy to get around. They rend to
overcharge quickly so you just need to keep the jump button clicking!!

I have heard the rumors of an aim bot but still havent seen the proof yet.

People accuse me of that all the time because I can take out three shees
with two shots from a Tank cannon. It's just skill in a certain area. I
played in a Tribes tribe where, during a practice, seventeen people lined up
and sniped moving targets in midair from 60ft away. It's humanly possible,
and I haven't yet seen ANY kind of cheat for Halo yet.

No. As with the Rocket Launcher, Scorpion Tank, Banshee, and Sniper Rifle,
the FRG has the unfortunate title of being a "noob weapon". Like the
bullet-time rockets, the FLG has an Achilles heel or two- surprisingly low
splash damage, awkward aiming, and cool-down period. A skilled player with a
pistol, assault rifle, and one grenade can take down a FROG camper in
seconds.

There are no aimbots. Being accused of using one is a great compliment.

The fuel gun is powerful, but limited. As with everything else, you just
need to know the counter. It is difficult to aim at long distance due to
the arc. At very close range it is prone to suiciding the gunner. It's
almost impossible to use against a banshee at anything but point blank
range. Its use gives away the position of the gunner. It overheats quickly
and has a very slow recharge time. It can't be reloaded.

At medium to long distance, if I'm on my game I can usually kill a FRG
gunner with the pistol before his first shots at me hit the ground. And, I
have lots of time to watch them come in and strafe out of harm's way.

The FRG is most useful as an ambush weapon and for flipping hogs.

Every weapon. Every Vehicle. Every item. Unlimited grenades. Team
play. No penalties except that 5 sameteam kills in a row gets you
banned for the day. Blood Gulch and Death Island. Only one mod.
WartHog Gunner Drives/Shoots Blood Gulch map.

I've seen my son (ReaperX) accused many times of running an aimbot.
He's never done that, ever. He's just GOOD :) I've seen OmegaOne
accused of using an aimbot. He never has either. My son coached him.
They both joined clans. They're pretty good. Me? I surprise people.
I'm not good. I don't clan. I just have fun in the game. Frag me, I
get up again. It's a *GAME*, and a fun one. You keep on fragging me.
Eventually, I'll figure a way to turn the tables on ya. :)

I've seen a few different cheats have been tried. If they succeed,
they are getting the server to do things it isn't supposed to. Since I
play only on my own server, I see it happening. They have to actually
hack the running server. Unfortunately, Bungee didn't supply as many
tools, options to deal with this as (for instance) Quake3 does. It'll
work out, eventually.

I have watched and played with a few players who are VERY good with the
pistol. They tend to like keeping just the pistol and sniper rifle.
I've seen some playing in my server come out on top repeatedly, and
never get in a vehicle, use only pistol and sniper rifle. They don't
hide. They just know where to go, how to get there, and how to shoot.
They make it look so easy :)

I think I've seen him around a few Bungie servers. Never did anything stupid
enough to warrant my remembering of him, but he had a cool name.

Yeah :) I think his wifey reeled him back to reality tho 😉 He's not
spending much time on the net at all now.
