Two questions

I just finished the Charwood quest with the Judgement, and I have two
unrelated questions:

1. In the room with the Guardian, were there two other doors on either side
that you can go through? I know there were two doors in the riddle room,
both of which were barred from the other side. I was wondering if there is
any way to get into them if you chose the middle door initially. I was
thinking maybe there were two doors in the Guardian room that led back to
those other two sides, but now I can't check because I left the castle
already.

2. After finishing most of the Charwood quest, I noticed that my "Charwood
Journal" entry had been updated and moved to the Completed Quests section. I
read it and found a part at the bottom saying something like "Aribeth has
been informed of this evidence and has called for an investigation of
Luskan..." etc. I don't know why this updated, because I never went to her
yet. (This also happened when I was talking to a Charwood villager, and my
journal updated itself as if I had been speaking to the mayor, which I
hadn't yet.) Anyway, I'd like to know if this will cause me to miss any
important dialogue when I finally do go speak to Aribeth.

No. You can only go through one of the three doors. Whichever door you
choose is the only one.

So what did I miss in the other two? If you choose one of the other two,
does that mean you can't do the Guardian quest?

It's just different ways. IIRC the left route is filled with fire-type
monster, the right route with undead, and the middle route has no monsters.
You can gain a little more XP going through either side and battle monster.
Other then that, has no affect on the Guardian quest.

And to your second question. Once you've gathered enough evidence about the
cult location in Luskan, all remaining quests that would also provide new
evidence are considered all ready done, since no more evidence is required.
This doesn't stop you from actually doing all the remaining quests; the
evidence gathering parts of them just move directly to completed in the
journal.

That's not exactly what happened though. I'm not sure when this happened,
but at some point as I was doing the Guardian quest, my journal was updated
with the message that I had already spoken to Aribeth and she planned an
investigation into Luskan. I figured that wouldn't be updated until I
actually talked to her. The update itself isn't the problem, but I just hope
that when I do eventually present the evidence to her, that she won't act
like I already have, and I therefore miss all the dialogue that she should
be telling me.

I found this site very useful (just finshed the game about 5 minutes ago!).

http://www.gamebanshee.com/neverwinternights/nwnwalkthrough.php

Apart from the walkthru's there's the weapon/armour etc... descriptions. I
found them useful
in the fact i didn't make certain weapons that would be relatively useless.

You have already found enough evidence about Luskan, and have Talked to
Aribeth having heard her say "investigate Luskan", yes? If so any more
references about Evidence/Luskan will be marked as "already talked to A
about Luskan" even though it isn't quite accurate.

Ps. If and when you actually talk to A after finding new unrequired
evidence, she won't say anything new only repeats what she said when the
necessary evidence was presented.

I had already brought her Relmar's journal a long time ago, so I guess when
I picked up the Charwood journal, it marked it as being the second piece of
evidence. But I didn't speak to her yet about the Charwood journal, nor had
she ever said anything about investigating Luskan yet. But last night I
spoke with her and gave her the Charwood journal, and "The Search for the
Cult" was updated and I got all the information from her, so I'm guessing
the minor update to "Charwood Journal" didn't matter much. After I spoke
with her this last time, "Relmar's Journal" was also updated the same way
that "Charwood Journal" was, I just didn't expect "Charwood Journal" to be
updated until after I spoke with her.

Basically you choose one route through that - I think the middle route is
meant to be the most straight-forward. It says something about judging in a
balanced way.

Best wishes
